AI-generation of secondary manuscripts from clinical studies

Generative AI offers a transformative approach to secondary manuscript creation in life sciences, significantly accelerating the traditionally laborious process. This research explores the application of a novel AI-powered platform for generating first-draft PRO secondary manuscripts. Leveraging clinical study reports, protocols, statistical analysis plans, and primary manuscripts as source material, the platform produces scientifically accurate and regulatory compliant complete drafts within 24 hours. These drafts eliminate the need for fundamental rewriting, freeing medical writers to focus on higher-level tasks like interpretation and discussion. The platform also provides embedded comments prompting authors to validate content, select appropriate figures and tables, and consider key discussion points. This AI-assisted workflow streamlines manuscript development, reduces turnaround time, and empowers medical writing teams to prioritize scientific contribution over tedious drafting. Preliminary results demonstrate the potential of generative AI to revolutionize medical writing, enhancing efficiency and accelerating scientific communication.
